- Flexible award authority – No dollar limit per award, with approvals required only for awards over $22M (FAR 19.805-1; 19.808-1). For Department of Defense contracts, awards can reach $100M; amounts above that require approval from the head of the procuring activity (2020 NDAA Section 830).
